BACKGROUND
This game has been jumping around my head for a while. While growing up, I played a lot of Galaga and I loved how, when you killed an enemy that captured you, you got a second ship to play with. I wanted to create a game that focused more closely on building up an array of ships to battle with, and using your lives as a resource.
I am quite happy with how this turned out! I especially like the high score table and putting a name to your score. It gives the feeling I want it to give. I also think the gameplay is very fun, but it took a very different turn from how I thought it was gonna turn out to make building up a collection of ships. I am still working on not being a perfectionist, and I tried to be more fast and loose with this project. I think I was good at keeping things imperfect, except when I got to the high score table. High scores aren't really necessary for this game, and I made it very over complicated. I think it looks cool, but with the amount of projects I am itching to do, it probably didn't warrent as much work as I put into it.
I am really happy with this project and I am super excited for working on my next project idea! Thanks for reading!
